Teemanay, a.k.a “Young Icon” is an International Award winning Afrobeats singer,songwriter, and producer from Nigeria.

His love for Afro-Global sounds pushed him to travel far and wide in search of a suitable environment that allowed him to maximize his potential as a great singer and songwriter with eccentric vocal dexterity. From the struggles of Lagos,to the glitters of Johannesburg, he eventually found himself in the City that never sleeps,New York City, a path that led him to discover his sound which he terms “Afro-Switch”; a modern Afro-fusion sound with an influence of Urban RnB and Caribbean sonics.

Teemanay is the most sought after Afrobeats Artist in any African gathering in the East Coast of America. So far, Teemanay has released hit singles like Vibez, Kill Dem, Wine Am and a debut EP titled “Timeless” , his most recent release is a joint project with Akon titled “KONVICT KULTURE PRESENTS TEEMANAY”, a critically acclaimed EP co-written by Akon and Teemanay. His latest single, off the joint project “Go Girl” has become the new fan favorite.

He has headlined notable platforms across the diaspora and across the world including the Afrobeats Festival at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, 2022, Toured with Burna Boy in 2022, headlined the Afrobeats Festival at Schomburg Center,Harlem, Headlined the famous Atlanta Jollof Festival, Toured 10 States in 2022 and headlined the Nigerian Independence Festival in New York City to mention a few.
